Hello,
Hoping all the best for SW and it’s employees. We love flying Southwest usually, but this holiday was certainly a scramble. Luckily my family all got to our destinations on four separate flights after lots of scrambling and rebooking. I’m writing to see if we’ll be able to secure a refund for a flight that we booked out of necessity on SW out of DCA rather than the original BWI origin airport. My fiancé wasn’t provided any alternatives so we booked as quickly as we book with money out of pocket. Will this be refunded since he still flew SW?

I'm a little unclear about what you said.
Are you saying your wife had two tickets -- one from DCA and another from BWI?

My fiancé (male) originally had a flight from BWI to PBI which was cancelled with no alternative. We immediately rebooked him on a flight from DCA to FLL as flights were being snatched up left and right and there were none left from the original airport. We had to make our little plane to the Bahamas so we rebooked the best option available.
