Cancelled flight possibility

My 6:50 Tuesday morning flight 10 from Corpus Christi to Houston got cancelled for some reason. I was able to rebook to the same flight on Wednesday. I looked online and see the status says "On Time", but there is no gate assigned to the flight like there is for the connecting flight to Chicago out of Houston. Is this an indication that the Wednesday flight is going to be cancelled too?

The fact that no gate has been allocated bears no relationship to whether or not a fight will be cancelled. It just happens some time.

That gives me hope. If this gets canceled, I won't be back in time to go to work.
