LUV Voucher Expiring Options

So here’s what I would do 

1. book flight with voucher and CC for taxes 

2. immediately cancel (online or on the app no need to call and cancel) select refund to CC for taxes

3. take that confirmation number from the flight you just booked and canceled and apply it as travel funds to new booking (the voucher portion is now a travel fund) you can apply the rest of the voucher if any is remaining

I hope this makes since. I read something recently that travel funds would take on the expiration date of the Luv voucher used to purchase the original fight that was then canceled. I’m hoping that is not the case & I can book & cancel as has been advised previously.

not true.

travel funds no longer carry an expiration date.

That changed earlier this year.
