Skip first leg of flight plan

I have a connecting flight from COS > DEN before leaving for my final destination. Can I skip the first flight and just board in DEN for the final leg to avoid a 6 hour layover?

No.

If you do this the remaining legs of your flight will be cancelled.  You can always change your flight to eliminate the first leg, but you would be responsible for any difference in fare.
