I think you mean that flights can be booked for Friday flights... and later.

Whether or not flights actually get off the ground, remains to be seen.

As we all now well know, booking a reservation, and actually getting planes off the ground, are two very different things.

If you were a gambler and had nothing better to do you could book the flights, see if they get cancelled, then hope for some sort of compensation.  Perhaps not the most ethical thing to do...

At this time yesterday, SW had cancelled 2300+ Thursday flights.

At this time yesterday you could not buy Thursday  or Friday flights

Right now, Southwest has cancelled 39 Friday flights.

Right now you can buy Friday flights.

Lol and look at the rates? After SW destroyed peoples holidays you’d think they’d have favorable prices??? Nope! SW now looking to take advantage of customers again with ridiculous fares. This also caused other airlines rates to skyrocket because of all the SW customers booking with other airlines who are more reliable. All of their flights now are booked with SW customers who no longer trust the liars at SW
