Travel Funds

I booked a flight in June 2020 to travel in October 2020.  However, I had to cancel my trip due to COVID.  I received travel funds to use that expire within a year, so they expire June 2021.  I am wondering if I just need to book my next trip by June 2021 or if the entire trip has to be before June 2021?

 The rule is that travel must be completed by the fund expiration date.
