Un Authorized Use of my Credit Card to buy SW Airline Tickets

Hi Folks,

My Credit Card and Identity was stolen at a T-Mobile Store in Tomball, Texas. The person used the card to purchase $472.97 in tickets from SW Airlines. Southwest gave me the name of the thief and we know who he is and where he works. Southwest refuses to cooperate with me and the Tomball police Department to reveal the details of the buyer so we can prosecute him. We need the complete records of the buyer with the name on the folio records. What a terrible way to represent the victims of crime. Here is the the charge details or code to the transaction: VISA TDECU BANK 52624262479.

This is something you need the handle with the issuer of your credit card.  They are well versed in handling fraudulent transactions.

File a written dispute with your credit card carrier.  You can either write a letter or use an online form and indicate that you have no knowledge of the charge.  Indicate that you did not make the charge and let them figure it out from there.

You've already been a victim of identity theft once, why make it easy for someone a second time. REMOVE YOUR RR NUMBER from your post. This is a public forum where everyone can see (and possibly use) it.

Second, SW apparently gave you the name of the alleged perpetrator. SW will provide the details you seek upon the police providing a written request (search warrant?)

not true, as I said southwest will not give me the written folio, the crime was conducted against me. The police are asking me for the folio, so they can proceed with the arrest.

Let me ask you soft hearts something: If someone broke into your home and stole items and would you just say the insurance company will handle the details and walk away? If you knew who it was? This perpetrator committed a crime against me.

Southwest has no idea what arrangements might be between you and the other person. The police are the right avenue to pursue any remedy.

Refer the law enforcement to Southwest directly.  Do not try to mediate.  The police will share the information with you.

If I were you, I will simply close my credit card so that no one can use it. This is the first thing I do.
