any destination with a different ticket price will, upon change, either require an additional payment or provide you a travel fund.
If the airline notifies you of a flight change and gives you the option of a no cost change, you can change to any flight with available seats between the same two cities as the original ticket. Depending on the city, you may be able to change to different airport. For example if your original flight was Denver to Chicago Midway, you could change the ticket t Denver to Chicago O'Hare.

Yes, flight prices literally fluctuate daily - the benefit of Southwest is once you book, if you notice your flight price went down, you can rebook with no change fees and get a flight credit for the reduction in price. It's really great, I do it all the time.
