I want to change my flight to the same one, but to the wanna get away plus price which just happens to be cheaper. How long does the travel funds usually stay on my account before I lose them as I won't be flying again till next  year?

Solution

Travel funds are valid for one year from your original purchase date. If you purchased this ticket April 15, 2022 then you would need to complete travel before April 15, 2023.

That assumes you DID NOT use travel funds to make your purchase. If you did, then all funds tied to your new purchase will carry the same expiration date that was on the travel funds that were used.

Oh well it's only 16 dollars so I'll probably lose it.

I didn't lose them after all. I found a flight to ORD instead of MDW for just at $16. I went from non-stop to stopping at LAS for 2 hours but VEGAS and you can smoke in the gaming rooms.
