Have flown on Southwest for a very long time, very disappointed. to me that is a part of the fare. Southwest just keeps your money and does on use that seat. unfair, I did not cancel because I wanted to. Canceled way before pull the numbers. Southwest may not be the bargain I though they were.

Reach out to Customer Relations (I recommend via Facebook or Twitter direct message) - -they should be able to offer you a voucher for the EarlyBird Check-In amount.
