uplift

has anyone used the uplift payment plan? I was wondering if it was worth it and if I had to cancel I would get my travel funds back? I want to book now while I can get cheap seats and don't have the funds.

If you cancelled you would get travel funds AND still be on the hook to payoff the loan.  From Southwest's perspective you have paid for the ticket.  Uplift is a loan and not paying it could do severe damage to your credit score so be aware cancelling doesn't get you out of payments.  I don't know the loan APR, but I'm guessing you'd be better off with a short term balance on a credit card if that's an option for you.

I knew I would still have to pay off the loan. I was just wondering about travel funds if I had to rebook for another time/day

when you cancel, you automatically get a travel fund.

You can use it to buy any ticket for yourself. Note travel must be completed within one year of the date you originally bought your ticket.
