Home to University of TN and the Oakridge National Laboratory and close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Californians are discovering that this is a wonderful place to live and affordable - no income tax! Everything is perfect except for the ability to fly home to visit family via SWA.
Please add Knoxville as a destination!!

Use the Contact Southwest Customer Service to let the airline know you are interested!
This is a customer to customer forum so nobody from Southwest will likely respond here.
Knoxville has been one of the more popular requests we see on the message board, the only issue I see would be that coming in there would be competing with Allegiant who is already an ULCC, usually Southwest will be trying to move into airports where they'll be the lower end of the fare spectrum.
Also many people within a 1-2 hour radius of the airport will be within reasonable driving range of BNA two hours away which is already a busy Southwest airport.
But who knows - drop your comment in and if there are gates available maybe it will happen.

It sounds like you're describing a great location with the University of Tennessee, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, affordability, and no income tax. The only downside you've mentioned is the limited flight options to visit family through Southwest Airlines. It's important to weigh the benefits of your current location against the convenience of flight options when considering your living situation.

You can also tweet/DM it to the airline! But as mentioned, sharing directly to the airline is your best route!
