I recently discovered that when flying to San Jose del Cabo I could not use the app for the check-in 24 hrs before the flight. Instead, I had to go to the Southwest website (from a computer, not my phone) to check-in. That wasn't too bad when we flew from Denver to San Jose del Cabo, but on the return flight it was a bit of annoyance. There was a computer for our use at our hotel, but the Internet connection was slow and buggy. I finally had to ask the front desk clerk to checkin for us.
Is Southwest eventually going to allow us to check-in on our phones like we do domestically? It would be a big improvement, especially because you don't have to worry about mislaying your printed boarding pass.
