Direct flights from DC area to Bay Area

Why are there no longer direct flights between any of the 3 DC area airports (DCA, IAD, BWI) and the 3 Bay Area airports (SFO, OAK, SJO)?  Am I missing something?

Are you looking for direct (stops with no plane change) or non-stop (no stops)?  If non-stop is what you want, transcontinental flights are not really Southwest's "thing" anymore.  Most flights will run through one of their "hubs".  From the west coast you're going to connect through DEN or you may get all the way to MDW, then out to your destination.  You're certainly welcome to provide your feedback directly to Southwest, use the contact us link at the bottom of the page and send a message.
