We are taking a trip to Cancun from Tucson. We use our rapid rewards points whenever possible so we book oneways a lot. When booking this trip we discovered that booking a roundtrip was cheaper than booking two oneways. The difference was in the return flight from Cancun. Right now it is only a $6.00 difference but it has been as much as $40.00. We have never seen this before. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi @l405585j,
When this occurs, it's because there is a difference in the taxes on the ticket. Our fare system is set up such that it is not more or less expensive to book roundtrip vs one-way. However, the taxes (which are outside of our control) will vary based on the kind of ticket you purchase.
