Hi everybody!
I was searching LGB-OAK flights because the times are different than the LAX flights, and I saw that there is LGB-LAS service. When did this start, and how WN get more slots?
Thank you,
laxboeingmax

Very excited about the additional route from LGB! It was announced back in mid July that LGB-LAS will begin Sept. 18 and will run through Dec. 31. Southwest will fly three round-trip flights each day except Saturday, when it will offer two.
Its imporatnt to note that Southwest was able to add the Las Vegas flights after Long Beach temporarily award slots that were not being used by Jet Blue. I'm crossing my fingers this will turn into a permanent route! LGB is such a neat little airport!

Thank you, @RobH. I appreciate all of the info. I missed the LAS portion of the announcement.
I would love for it to be permanent, but I doubt it will if slots aren't. I, personally, think it makes more sense to have four OAK routes than have two OAK and two LAS. I also think it makes sense from a B6 completion POV too.
