Palm Springs, CA?

When is Southwest going to add Palm Springs as a destination?  We travel quite often to Palm Springs, and serveral other airlines have several flights a day, particualrly from Denver to Palm Springs.  Would love to be able to fly with Southwest rather than the others.

Southwest announced Palm Springs as a destination a month or so ago.

Service starts November 15.

Now, can anyone tell me what there is to do in this area?  Yes, I just fly to places just to fly there.

How committed are you to your Instagram aesthetic? I hear it's a great place for that.

I believe Coachella Valley is one of the big draws: hiking, biking, Jeep-ing, etc

Hummmm,?  Since I have no clue what this is, probably not very committed.  I've heard the word, Instagram, but not quite clear what that might be.  The other suggestions are good to know.  I don't like hiking, but will, by all means, run the trails.
