What’s the hold up with Southwest to Canada?

I am A+ and companion on SW, but my workload this year has me going to Canada quite a bit.  I am being forced to fly other airlines because SW still doesn’t go there.  I will most likely lose status which is a bummer as I know the following year I will be back to mostly domestic.  Does anyone know an update on SW to Canada eh?

I suspect that Southwest has other more important imperatives than Canada at the moment -- Hawaii for example.
