Southwest flies nonstop to Cancun from Austin, Denver, Houston, and St. Louis west of the Mississippi. You could check those.
East of the Mississippi service is from BWI, and Chicago. I don't think it would be possible to get from San Diego to either of these in time to catch a flight.
