Do flight attendants/pilots flying into Midway Airport area need overnight lodging?

I'm thinking of renovating my parents' home in the Midway area (probably less than 7 min. from the airport) and was wondering if there is a need for short-term lodging within the flight attendant/pilot community who fly into Midway.  I would like to keep the home for a few more years rather than sell it, and thought the short distance from the airport might be a plus.  Additionally, I know that there are few hotels in the surrounding area.  Thanks for any input!

I don't know of any threads where I've seen an active flight crew member posting in these forums, rather it is primarily Southwest customers.
