I know that pilot schedules are determined on a 2 week to month basis so every week will look different especially when you account for seniority and bidding flights to coworkers, but what can a junior pilot at Southwest expect their schedule to be like with the company? Four or five overnight trips a week on average? One or two overnight trips a week on average? Does Southwest offer a better home/ family life than other airliners for their staff?

Is the a policy and procedures manual to pilots/captains that describes how the bidding selections are determined?
