Go Pink or Go Home!

October 6 was very, very special. My crew (Danielle, Vickie, and Tami) and I got to meet Diane! Diane is a two-time breast cancer survivor. She’s now been cancer free for 16 years! It was so inspiring to hear her story. She was in the best of spirits the entire flight, and she was an absolute joy to have. So in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we turned the entire plane pink for Diane and for all the breast cancer survivors around the world. We LUV each and every one of you who has been affected by cancer directly or indirectly. This is to you! Thank you so much, Diane, for your courage, strength, and, most of all, your heart!

Through our Medical Transportation Grant Program (MTGP), Southwest Airlines provides complimentary roundtrip tickets to nonprofit hospitals and medical transportation organizations. Southwest allows participating nonprofit hospitals and medical transportation nonprofit organizations the freedom to determine how to distribute the tickets to patients and/or caregivers. Additionally, Employees like Kermit, Danielle, Vickie, and Tami make a positive difference for the causes that matter most to them by raising awareness and/or volunteering their time to benefit nonprofit organizations and schools.
