Hello can anyone let me know if I need to do a covid test prior to my trip to Cancun Mexico 1st time flying

I believe if you're vaccinated, you do not need to take a COVID-19 test. If you aren't vaccinated, you should take one 3 days prior to travel. Here's the latest info I saw for Mexico, for your information: https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices/covid-3/coronavirus-mexico

Not correct. 

You don't need any tests to go TO Mexico. 

You need an antigen test to get BACK from Mexico.   Your hotel should be able to arrange one.
