A family member has a current and valid NH state driver's license. It states on the license, "NOT FOR FEDERAL IDENTIFICATION".
Every reference states that driver's licenses are acceptable without exceptions for statements like the above. Still that statement "not for identification" concerns me.
WILL THIS NH DRIVER'S LICENSE BE ACCEPTABLE FOR DOMESTIC AIRLINE TRAVEL?
The REAL ID requirement does not begin until May 23, 2023(?).
This specific issue is addressed NO WHERE, not on the TSA website, not on SW's website.
Thanks,

The TSA says that drivers licenses are an accepted form of ID.
There are no exceptions to that statement from the TSA.
My guess is that the disclaimer applies to potential entry into federal facilities - just IMO
