If I'm flying from Dallas to Norfolk and am coming back home through Chicago as a 1 hour layover, will I be subject to the 14 day quarantine?

My understanding from Texas is that if you come from or through Chicago you will be subject to the 14 day quarantine.

Southwest is allowing passengers to change flights on the same routing at no cost. So you may want to find a Norfolk/Dallas routing that does not go thru Chicago.

You have to avoid connecting in more places than just Chicago.

Here's a complete list:

  • California (Burbank, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Oakland, Ontario, Orange County, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Jose)
  • Connecticut (Hartford)
  • Georgia (Atlanta)
  • Illinois (Chicago - Midway)
  • Louisiana (New Orleans)
  • Michigan (Detroit and Grand Rapids)
  • New Jersey
  • New York (Albany, Buffalo/Niagara, Long Island/Islip, New York - LaGuardia, and Rochester)
  • Washington (Seattle/Tacoma and Spokane)
