I have a question about checked bag dimensions:
I am planning on checking in my duffle bag. If I stuff the bag to full capacity, it would exceed the maximum of 60 linear inches. However, I am only planning on filling it to around 75% capacity and it would have a lot of empty space. I was wondering if Southwest would stretch my duffle bag before measuring it? Or, if the bag is flexible and only partially filled, and when compressed, if the bag dimensions fit within 60 inches, would that be allowed?

I don't think you will have a problem. They would be more concerned about weight.
