Group Travel deposit does not apply to final payment

There was a recent change in group travel policy that requires final payment of the full amount with the deposit amount refunded within 3-5 business days.

 

We did not receive the refund of our deposit, so I called Southwest and they said the refund was "overlooked".

 

This may work for large travel agencies, but for smaller groups, this is a financial burden.  It also makes it very difficult to put the deposit on one credit card and then pay the balance of final payment on another card.

 

We have another group reservation that is due next week and coming up with an extra $2000 (deposit for 2 trips of 20 people) while Southwest processes the refunds (in more than the posted 3-5 business days) puts us in a real bind.

 

Southwest, please change the policy back to apply deposits to final payment.
