Hawaii & Government shut down

Is the current shut down effecting clearing SWA to start providing services for long range overseas flights? Any news on when the intinerary will open up for travel to Lihue? I have a trip planned for June and would love to book through SWA. Happy New Year, looking forward to a great year with SWA!

Unfortunately, yes. ETOPS certification flights are on hold. 😞

Service might still be available by June... fingers crossed.

Federal Government Shutdown Might Delay Southwest’s Flights to Hawaii

Totally stinks, I’m sorry SWA family! The last time there was a government shutdown I was with my family in Hilo and we couldn’t go to Volcano Nationals park due to closure! I wish the government would quit using people and companies as carrots to get what they want! Hang in there everyone!
