Southwest allows for one child under the age of two to fly for free with an adult. This child does not require a ticket and thus is not entitled to a seat. However, if you fly before the end of November, Southwest is not selling all seats on the plane so this child would be able to sit in a seat next to you if you wanted. Since you are looking to fly with two children under the age of 2 you would need to buy a ticket for the second child. The paid child is entitled to a seat. Long story short, you will need to buy 2 tickets and you will be able to use a row of 3 seats if you fly before end of November. Car seats can be checked as baggage for free or carried on. You can also take advantage of family boarding between the A and B boarding groups.
