New Southwest App incompatible with my device

Last evening I tried to use the Southwest app on my android phone. The app gave me a message it was being retired and instructed me to download the new app. When I go to Google Play, the new app comes up as incompatible with my device. If the apps for other airlines work, I might be inclined to choose those airlines.

What kind of phone are you using? I can report that to our mobile team and hopefully we'll be able to fix it. I'm sorry about the trouble!

It is a Huawei Ascend Mate 2 with Android 4.3.

I have a galaxy s5, since the new year the app has not worked. It will not allow me to select an airport to book a flight. I use the app all the time for travel and this makes it very inconvenient.

I have a Galaxy S4.  What can I do to fix this. I used the old app all the time! Such a hassle to go to the website now on my phone to book travel, check in, etc.

My only choice now is to use the website. Why have an APP?

I guess nothing was ever done. It is nice Southwest decided to abandon some of us.

No "fix" is forthcoming, as they're not heading backwards. 😉 I'd recommend upgrading your phone if possible. If not, use the mobile site.
