Hi all,
I was not sure what forum is to post this on. I guess, the closest is this one, company's policies.
I am a Rapid Rewards member, so I'm receiving list of those low fare promotions.
This time, it's a $49 one-way.
Now, pretty much every city you check, you get some exciting destination! You can even fly from Ft Lauderdale to New York for this price!
Yet, the only place you can fly from Dallas for $49 is... Oklahoma City.
Dallas is the home town for Southwest!
Shouldn't we expect to get better offers, not the worse ones?

Speaking as someone who checks prices to Dallas occasionally, I've noticed that often flights are in the $40-$60 range even without a specific sale. You just have to keep looking and don't rely solely on the sale notifications.
Using the low fare calendar and the getaway finder map can help.

Thank you for reply.
For Low Fare calendar, there are several issues. How often one has to monitor, how many locations to cover. Even then, acting as a some sort of search engine :), low fares are way higher than promotion deals.
As for the second link, it's broken.
