Can you travel with a pet on your person. Doesn't need to go under the seat. Will be in a zippered bonding bag. A sugar glider.

No, pets must be contained.  Here is Southwest's policy:

Southwest Airlines allows small vaccinated domestic cats and dogs to travel with you in-cabin under the seat in front of you. All pets must be carried in an appropriate carrier.

Southwest only allows cats and small dogs. You can't bring your sugar glider.
