My 13 year old daughter shoots competition air rifle with a 4H rifle team. This summer, we will be traveling from Georgia to Michigan to compete in the State Games of America. Of course we will be flying Southwest. Are there any special instructions for checking a rifle in a locked hard case?

Check out the TSA Website for rules about firearms. We haven't had any issues traveling with firearms on Southwest, however I would make a quick call to make sure you know exactly what you need to do when you check in as I do know you have to declare the item.
