Young Traveler Boarding

I'm new to this whole "no assigned seats" thing. I'm sending my 2 kids to visit my sister, and I was concerned about boarding. Is there any way I can get around this? I talked to a few friends, and was concerned that there may be a struggle to get them sitting next to eachother. If you have any answers, or know if young travelers get priority boarding as well, please let me know. Thanks!

I was coming on here to ask the same thing! My daughter is traveling alone, so I'm not concerned about her sitting with someone else.

I was wondering if she would be allowed to preboard though.

How old are the kids? "Children ages 5-11 traveling without an accompanying Passenger age 12 or older" are considered "unaccompanied minors", there is additional cost, and "only domestic nonstop, or direct flights, not international" flights are eligible.

Unaccompanied minors preboard.

This page has all of the detail:

Young Travelers (age 12 and up) don't get to preboard. I'd recommend buying EarlyBird Check-In or checking in online at exactly 24 hours prior to departure to secure the best boarding position.
