I had ocassionally gotten this error on my iPhone 6 also. I think there is some bug when you have wifi on but trying to connect to a network that requires credentials, the app doesn't go back to cellular data automatically if you haven't authorized the wifi yet.

Home airport MDW, frequent visitor to MCO to see the mouse.

OP is correct, my wife and I BOTH have this issue with the latest SW app on iPhone X. Even if connected to WIFI or cellular data, it will post a pop up that says your not connected.  I think the delay variable allowing connection sync is too short in the app.

Has this been resolved? I am having the same issue. I can't book any flights on the Southwest app due to this error.

sorry to hear that you are having trouble.  I have had the iPhone X for about 4 months and I have not had any problems. Not sure that I have a suggestion other than maybe going through Safari and using the Southwest.com regular website?
