Like it is supposed to be no change, they make it into a change planes but you stay on instead?

Usually in that case they would clear the plane as it would be ending up on an entirely unrelated route.

Aircraft swaps are common and Normally you would not get a voucher unless there was a significant delay on the next leg. If you still arrive on time they would not owe you anything.
