I am due to travel in August, I recently gave birth and due to COVID the birth certificate administration is backed-up. I know southwest is strict about proving that your child is under the age of 2, without a birth certificate or a passport can immunization record be considered? I have been on hold with southwest customer service for a while due to long hold times, so i hope someone has any insite.

Immunization records should be enough.

Southwest is actually quite a bit more flexible now and allows check-in of a lap child via a kiosk at the airport and may not ask for age verification if the child is obviously younger than 2.

I'm due to fly tomorrow and have the same issue. My child is two months old but we do not have her birth certificate yet. Shes very obviously under two years old though. I have easy access to other records if they were to ask, just not her birth certificate yet. I'm glad I found this posting. Thank you for this, it was very helpful.
