timing of covid test

Has anyone flown into the US since the new covid testing guidelines went into effect?  If so, has SW allowed you to board with a  negative covid test one calendar day before your flight but more than 24 hours before the flight?  For example, if yo had a flight on Saturday afternoon, did they let you board with a negative covid test that you got on Friday morning?

Per CDC, it's anytime the previous day.

The 1-day period is 1 day before the flight’s departure. The Order uses a 1-day time frame instead of 24 hours to provide more flexibility to the air passenger and aircraft operator. By using a 1-day window, test acceptability does not depend on the time of the flight or the time of day that the test sample was taken.

For example, if your flight is at 1pm on a Friday, you could board with a negative test that was taken any time on the prior Thursday.

The wording is "no more than 1 day before you travel" and is no longer based on a number of hours.  This means for flights departing anytime Saturday, a test taken anytime Friday would suffice.

The exact wording from the CDC:

"The 1-day period is 1 day before the flight’s departure. The Order uses a 1-day time frame instead of 24 hours to provide more flexibility to the air passenger and aircraft operator. By using a 1-day window, test acceptability does not depend on the time of the flight or the time of day that the test sample was taken.
