Southwest's seats are 17.8 inches wide. That's about a half inch wider  than those on American, Delta, United et all.

Space between your seat and the one in front of yous is about the same as those on the airlines listed above, and more than the likes of Frontier or Spirit.

The only airline seats that I've found to be uncomfortable are those on Spirit and Frontier.

Comfort is a relative thing. It differs from passenger to passenger.

I find the seats much more comfortable than airlines like Frontier or Spirit. Also one thing to keep in mind if you are afraid you might go in to the seat next to you southwest has a very nice passenger of size policy where you can buy a 2nd seat ahead of time and get a refund for that seat after travel is complete.

Get an Emergency Exit row seat they’re the biggest.

More legroom, yes, but I don't believe the actual seat is any different in size than any other seat on the plane.

Southwest also has a pretty generous Customers of Size policy, if that is applicable.
