@KAI2121 @SoCalFlyer97 Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. As a flyer of SWA since 1997 I had no idea this ever existed, silly me. I'm in fact going to head right to the link and try it out right now and book a flight somewhere. SWA should give you a percentage of my flight for your insight on this.

For several years I had send my Android tablet to watch movies. But just recently I couldn’t watch them. Error message said I needed to upgrade the operating system. I checked and I had already upgraded. Then on the next flight I STILL could not watch movies. I have a flight in 3 weeks and wonder if I should bring my laptop (too heavy) or invest in a new non-Android tablet.

Hey @YeahNoMaybe thanks for sharing your feedback! While that is currently not a capability we are able to offer, I'll definitely take note of this.

Hi, @thomaja13!
Thanks for reaching out! While this doesn't appear to be a Southwest Careers-related question, I would recommend reaching out to our Teams via email at sponsorships@wnco.com for marketing and strategic sponsorship inquiries.
Hope this helps!

@dfwskier But it does now fly to Bozeman, MT. Go figure
SW opened up 6 or 7 (maybe more) new airports in '21 I think - nothing since then.
Things may change when the MAX7s start showing up. They haven't even been certified yet -- maybe 4 years late at this point...

Hi! Question related to this promotion. Do you need to fly by September 30 or book a flight by September 30?
You'd have to fly by 9/30, the pass would be inactive on any later flight.

The next time my companion and I are A and C boarding, I'll save the seat and say "she's in the bathroom." Hopefully it'll work! (My companion never checks in in a timely manner.)

While the fee for checked bags may be an added expense for passengers, it's a standard practice among many airlines, and SWA has made efforts to be transparent about their fees and offers competitive pricing in other areas.

I do pretty much the same as Jessica. And I book a hotel that is giving out larger amounts of points for staying. Often more than what I could bargain shop for, but in the long run, helps me get the companion pass 10 years running. I use to do a rental car, but found out that you normally pay more using SW partners. I just add my frequent traveler info to my rental car company and get the 600 points that way.

This has also started at CABO San Joes airport. Not sure why this has started to pop up, but just another thing to contend with and why I always get to the airport very early when going to Mexico.

For the most part, what has been come to be known as the "Holiday DISASTER" was a system meltdown that Southwest has known was a weak link in their processes.

Congrats @floridaguy, this is one of your more ridiculous statements. Despite not actually succeeding, I appreciate the effort you made to try and make your statement slightly relevant to the conversation

It was a BIG mistake perpetrated by the inability and inexperience of the previous CEO. They were doing a successful business at EWR. I live in New York City area and as a Customer I prefer to take my flight through EWR. It is extremely convenient. With the return of Southwest to EWR, CEO Bob Jordan will show his ability and qualifications to be in that position. Come back to business Southwest. Come back to EWR!!!

Good information to know, I've often wondered what I would do should I lose my identification while on travel. That came from a near situation of losing my driver's license (only form of ID) only to actually find it hidden deep in my carry-on bag after I dumped everything out near the ticket counter. THANK YOU

@tenaciouss I've booked over 100 rooms through the SWA hotel (booking.com) process and have to say only once did I have any issue. That once was my fault for not seeing no cancelation, however, I still got it cancelled by going through the process of contacting booking.com and working with the hotel. In the end, it's up to the hotel to force you to keep the room, or courteously cancel it. With all that said, I know that it's often cheaper by direct contact with the hotel, but you get no SWA points. I've had a companion pass for the past 6 years primarily due to the fact I use the SWA link to bookings and get on some stays up to 8,000 SWA points. Getting something, I need any way, a hotel room, and paying a bit more than rack price that helps me get companion, Priceless. To end this, no I've not had any issues with SWA and booking.com on any of the hundreds of bookings I've made.

Sorry for your experience, but who in their right mind puts anything of value in a checked bag anymore. I know you said you didn't want it to be considered as a weapon, but maybe that inconvenience seems a bit more appealing than what you're going through.
Word to the wise, computers, cameras, IPads, Jewelry, etc., should be in your purse, backpack, carry on, or small suitcase carry on....

To my dear legal scholar,
The judge does not have to agree to a settlement if the plaintiff wants to withdraw the case. I don't know where you get your information. I anticipate that the case will be SETTLED and the complaint withdrawn.
Please do some research before responding to posts. Thank you.

I've called in to SW a couple times with this error and they say the only option is to go to the counter at the airport which is a waste of time since I do not check bags. Do you remember what the person from SW support did on the phone?
Earlier in the thread a poster said that he/she simply added the KTN to the traveler profile, and then reprinted the boarding pass which then showed the words "TSA Pre."

You bring up an interesting point. You sit in the middle, and if someone wants the seat, you move to the aisle or window and say go for it!
Interesting. I guess you can do that because you are choosing any open seat. It is kinda like preboarding. You are required to "self declare" as a person in need, but you must do this on each flight. That says that the declaration expires at some point after you make the declaration.
So, I guess you can "self declare" as a person in need, get your seat, then withdraw your declaration. Interesting.

Well said, and exactly my attitude during the disruption. Was it a bit of a disappointment? Yes, but not the end of the world and we planned alternate activities at home instead of in FL. It was all good.
In return, Southwest rescheduled my travel to January with no change fees, extended my companion pass (which should have expired because I didn't get that last end-of-year flight in) so that my companion could fly with me, and they gave me 50,000 points (already deposited in my account). Totally unexpected, what's not to like?
Thanks again Southwest, I appreciate everything you do to make things right under difficult circumstances.
