I just flew out of LGA today and had no issues using the flyby lanes (security and TSA) maybe someone didn’t know the rules?

Sorry about your experience. But I think that's an anomaly. And it seems reactionary to take your business elsewhere after a single incident. Keep in mind that you could experience a rude gate agent with any carrier.

The one thing Southwest did do this year is allowed points bookings to count towards A List for several months but as others have said I don’t think a boost will happen this year.
now could they give those who didn’t earn A List this year that has had it previously a targeted offer in the new year maybe I would keep checking the promotions in your account on the full website (you might even check now in case a promotion is there)

Most hotels charge an early departure fee. With regards to proof a lot of people make up excuses to cheat a system that’s why they ask for proof the few bad apples messed up stuff for the good ones.

My daughter works at the Syracuse airport for Southwest. It took awhile for her to hear back from them. Just keep checking your dashboard and respond to all emails in a timely manner. 😃

It is their call. Keep in mind that these inconsistencies happen because all flights are different, and there's certainly information you or I don't and will likely never know. Crew time outs, connections down stream, etc. I totally understand that it's hard not to take these things personally, and it's never fun when you're on the receiving end, but ultimately if your husband had been at the gate before t-10 he would have been able to board.

I was stranded over night in Denver and it turned out to be SWA's fault (not weather related) and was told that they are all out of hotel vouchers. I had to scramble and find a hotel that offered a shuttle from the airport.

You were absolutely correct about adding the RR number. I had to change a reservation, added the RR number, and everything showed up.
It's my recollection that previously if you were booking with points and filled in the box with your RR number, the system made you remove it before you could move on. In any event, thank you for solving the problem for me. Now, why didn't any of the Southwest people give me the answer years ago?

Congratulations and thank you for your loyalty! Great to hear that you are enjoying sequential boarding. Once you become A-List, your companion will be assigned a boarding position sequential to yours. The only things that would cause that to not happen would be 1) you add your companion after your boarding position being was already assigned, 2) you purchase a Business Select fare, or 3) you purchase Upgraded Boarding

That's what I always told my business peers. For any meeting, I flew in the night before. PERIOD
I have watched people stroll in after lunch many, many times when the meeting started at 8:00 AM. You basically wasted your time if you missed more than half of the day.
Getting people to change is like getting a mountain to speak.
Everyone knows best and everyone is the expert, especially here on this board.

You'll get a Southwest travel credit. In Southwest's eyes you paid cash for the flight. Unless you purchased a refundable fare (Anytime or Business Select), then you would need to discuss refund options with your bank.

If you didn’t book though SW you would not get points on SW
the only exception is if you booked though the hotel chain directly and they let you choose to earn airlines miles instead of hotel loyalty points (no double dipping) for this you would need to contact the hotel company to see if they allow this

Southwest does not advertise BUSINESS CLASS seats because it has no BUSINESS CLASS seats on it's planes.

Bingo- I don't have the Southwest log on password for my parent's account. I do know the user name / email address, but not the password. I can't ask the system to reset password because then a link is sent to their email account, which I don't have the password for; and a dual verification to the phone number of the deceased, which I don't have and have been shut down. So as you pointed out, Southwest should help me reset the password with the proper documentation provided (birth certification, death certification and power of attorney legal papers, which they asked me for and I took time to provide but then they said they cannot do anything to help).

Well the only conclusion I can reach is that you got hacked and someone is playing games with you.
I'd suggest that you change your password and maybe your user name too - to something other than your RR number. To do that you'll have to call the airline.

This is probably because of spring break fares for potentially busy seasons will be higher and as the date gets closer they might release some cheaper seats if the flight isn’t filling up.
if you can afford it I would book now and If the price goes down later you can get a flight credit to use on another flight. If you book the anytime or business select fare now you can get a refund and book the cheaper fare.

I preboard on every flight. It is my right.
I do not need the wheelchair but do meet the criteria. I often have one companion but never five. I agree that it should be better managed.
Ultimately, Southwest created this perfect storm. When you have unassigned seats and also must comply with the Air Carrier Act, those that preboard get the best selection of seats. That is not to be blamed on people who preboard, that is Southwest's own brew.
This subject has been complained about for YEARS and has not changed.

Points never expire I understand you might be mad with SW today but once you get stuck in DFW, PHL,IAH,ORD on those less fun and friendly airlines you could be back so just hold on to them or use them on family/friends

Was your flight to RSW? If so you can change your airport free of charge for flights though November 5th and you can change the date up to 30 days
example if you were booked AUS-RSW you could change to AUS-MCO, TPA, SRQ, MIA, or FLL no difference in fare.
Unfortunately if you were booked to fly in to a different airport those waivers have expired.

I've found several connections (multi city booking) that are cheaper that booking direct. A few others for trips in the first 6 weeks of 2023. I should easily be able to get to 12 segments by mid February - which is exactly what I did this year and is why I hit the 25 segment threshold for 2023 A-list. I'm using points exclusively now.
