We here at PRC were just discussing the merits of "The Consultant's Adopted Son" found in the PRC "library." It's a medical romance paperback, because we all know how romantic medicine is.
Overheard:
"Your shinsplints are quite attractive."
"That boil on the side of your neck makes me love you even more."
"Your bunions make your feet SO much lovelier."

Liz,
Actually, there is a way to pull it up by your RR number...HOWEVER, from your issue it sounds like you usually go through a travel agent. T/A's I've seen since I've been here are pretty good about giving us the Rapid Rewards numbers when they have it. You would have to be logged into MySouthWest in order to see future flights when you book them, otherwise, they won't show up. Then again, a few of them DO forget to put on the SWA conf. code and instead put on the Sabre code.
Could you just ask your travel agent to put on the SouthWest confirmation code rather than the Sabre confirmation code? We always give them the code when they call us (or at least I do!).

"Did you wake up single in New Orleans (MSY), and then watch the sunset that evening in Maui (OGG) married to your best friend? "
Nope. Can't say that I have. Although, that would be a nifty story! It's almost like....
"Hey mom and dad, we got married in Vegas! Little Richard was our pastor, Elvis was my best man, and an alien from Roswell was her bridesmaid!"
I will say, I'm not very well traveled. I was raised in the east coast, flew a few times as a child to the Dominican Republic (on EASTERN AIRLINES!), and other than a few flights to PHL, BWI, and one flight to DAL for F.L.Y. class, that's about it. I'm terrified to non rev somewhere and get stranded. I would LOVE to go to OAK, SEA, PDX, and MSY though! I'm planning to go see some relatives in York, PA via BWI though if I can get a few days off in a row. My next few days off I may go see my sister in SAN, or just do a buffet in LAS! I gotta do it sometime!!
And a trip back to OGG wwith my wife would be QUITE welcome!
You are now free to use your pass privelages.

Brian,
It could have been worse. I remember working at a long distance company in their Loyalty department when they sent a mailer to, oh, a few THOUSAND customers with an incorrect 800 number on it. Turned out to be an "adult entertainment" number. I got an 83 year old lady on the phone who said "wow, I got this letter in the mail and called it it. What a REWARD!" I about fell out of my chair laughing.
Or the worse for me is (and this happened last night) when you get a difficult person on the phone and you want to reach out and grab them through the phone lines, then at the end of the call they ask for your name again and tell you how nice you were. ARGH!
OR (in the same call...)
Customer - "What was your name?"
Me - "Paco. P A C O."
Customer - "Oh, with a name like that, you must be VERY handsome!"
Me - "My wife would say so."
Customer - "Oh, you're married???? That's too bad."
Me - "...."
Wanna get away? I sure did!
No candy corn was harmed in this blogging.

Oh man, at least you'll be there! My best man for our wedding had a spinal tap 4 days before the wedding and it never closed up. Needless to say, I rushed him to the ER 2 days before the wedding. I had one best man and 3 additional groomsmen. One of my groomsman who took over the best man speech for him did a great off-the-cuff job, but I definitely don't recommend it!
I'm sure you'll do GREAT!
And for a gift you can offer them a few non-revenue space available passes!!!!!! Give the gift of flying standby! LOL!

My wife and I hit 3 years this Tuesday the 20th. I've gained WAY too many pounds (and pant sizes) in that time, and will have a few more after our dinner on Tuesday or Wednesday (depending on our schedules).
And steve, any particular areas we can improve on?

Jeramy, put down that Los Angeles Kool Aid bro! Does LA even have red in their uniforms anymore?
And as far as the Dbacks go, they have an outstanding group of youngsters, such as Stephen Drew (Who is the real deal, unless he's as fragile as JD) and Conor Jackson.

Phil - sounds like Bob Uecker in Major League!
Favorite Bob Uecker quote - "How do you catch a knuckleball? Wait until it stops rolling to the backstop and pick it up!"
Francisco - how can you NOT like Baseball? But at LEAST you do support the Padres....they support the Armed Forces like no other team I've seen.

Personally, I prefer hardbacks. The last book I read was "Nuts." Each person got one in F.L.Y. class at Dallas. What a great book! Gave me a LOT of insight to the company.
And Tony, that sounds like a great idea. I talk to a lot of people that have issues on Ding!....did you check the FAQ on southwest.com?

Don't ask what kind of books are at PRC. We have a "library" of interesting books. And if you're a male, one might end up in your bookbag as a practical joke.

Brian,
WHAT A POST!!!! Man, you took me back to my childhood! I was a resident of York, PA for about my whole childhood. I love my Phillies. Ashburn and Kalas were legendary announcers and 2 hall of famers. I remember Michael Jack Schmidt and his 500th homerun. I got to see the Vet when it was still up (would LOVE to see Citizens though). I only got to go to one game in Philly though. We lived about 30 minutes from Baltimore (BOO ORIOLES!) and I saw a couple games there. I actually saw the first night game in Camden Yards and the first homerun (I think it was Mark Lewis of Cleveland). And of course, I went with my best friend to an O's game and the drunk guy behind us spilled his whole beer down my friends back (we were about 16 at the time). Fun times. I get to see the D-Backs. I do like them (except when the Fightin' Phillies come to town!) and cheered for them against the Yanks.
GO PHILS!!! This seems to be our year in the NL east. Finishing a total of THREE games out in the wild card the past 2 years doesn't sit well with us boobirds, but with the reigning NL MVP Ryan Howard, J-Ro, and Chase Utley it looks like we're in for a great year.
Brian, you and Jeramy are going to be 2 peas in a pod this season. He's such a L.A. homer it's not even funny.

I know this is an OLD post, but is there anyway to put a BOOK A RAPID REWARDS TICKET link on the front page? PLEASE? People are using "Book A Flight" and don't see RR tickets instead of using Book Travel. It would save a lot of customers aggrivation.

Marcus,
Thank you for taking the time to do that. Written and verbal commendations makes us feel exceptional. The written ones (especially if sent to HQ in Dallas) usually come with a letter signed by Colleen. Nothing makes me personally feel better when I know that I've serviced a customer well enough to get one of those. It's a special thing to get. Even those that don't, it's good to hear kudos not only for yourself, but a lot of customers tell me how great our service is as a whole and compliment other people they've dealt with. At the end of a phone call, it's great to hear "you were excellent", "thank you so much for your help," or "you were really friendly to me" even if you're the only person to hear it. Working in this industry also makes you appreciate what others do for you as well, even if it's your server busting his/her hump at Denny's or the sales person at JC Penney's. So SWA employees, pay it forward to others in other industries. You never know what it might do for someone else.

Then you missed Jay Leno just ripping into JetBlue the other night. It was absolutely hysterical. I feel for the employees though, especially when your CEO or president or whoever just throws you under the bus. That's why I LUV the company I work for. Our higher ups would NEVER do that to us!
