@TheMiddleSeat wrote: Does @DancingDavidE have any experience with this he can share? My understanding is they all will work, but I imagine some of the wider models could make for a tight squeeze in the other two seats in the aisle. --TheMiddleSeat We only used the car seat one time, when we had the model that clicks into the stroller - so we had it anyway. That one fit fine in the window seat. We didn't every try it with the larger car seats, at that point we just had our daughter in our lap, and then went to the CARES harness. You can only install a car seat so that no other passengers are obstructed - so if the flight is full, that means a window seat. If there are many empties, you could put it in the middle and leave the window seat open.

@dplataii wrote: A suggestion for SWA on behalf of A-List members: One of the great benefits to A-List is priority boarding (being first or one of the first to board the plane)...well wouldn't it be great if we were first, or one of the first to receive our luggage from baggage claim? It would be great to show A-list members more appreciation for the miles that we fly by adding an additional perk of "priority baggage". To me, this means when I arrive at the airport (A-list check-in line), I check my luggage, the SWA rep. would tag my luggage as "A-List/ A-List Preferred", etc. so when I land and head to the baggage claim area, my luggage is one of the first 10 bags (example) to come out of the luggage convayor belt. This tremendously reduces my wait time and allows me to get back to work or family much faster. I fly often and find myself wating 30+ minutes for my bag to appear while everyone else from my flight has gone on with their day. Please seriously consider. Thank you! I think this is something that Southwest might consider either as a perk or as a new optional service.

Does anyone have any tips for a first time very nervous flyer for things that might help ease my nerves so I don't have so much anxiety through the flight? Just to double check - the anxiety is what you are worked about, and not the actual logistics (bag check, arrive early, security etc. - plenty of resources out there to help you prepare as a first time flyer in that regard so that you don't ahve to worry about the actions of travel themselves - allow some extra time and you can handle the logisitcs, no problem. 2.5 millions of people do it every day. So regarding anxiety, here was an article that came up while I was searching to see if I could find @basslaw2010's book: https://adaa.org/understanding-anxiety/specific-phobias/treatment/8-Steps-to-Overcoming-Your-Fear-of-Flying Check at the airport too if you have time, they may have an information desk with a similar pamphlet.

I was curious about this as well, it's pretty standard that any guide you read says to show up at least an hour early and often two hours early, so it would be surprising for the counters not to be open more than an hour ahead of the flight time.

I'm not Android saavy - are there any alternate browsers available on that operating system that might hand the graphic differently? If its fundamental to the version of Android then I think it's going to be a challenge.

Chase sends the regular points from purchases after each billing cycle is complete, usually a few days or a week after the cycle closes. I don't know the exact turnaround, but it should be in your agreement's fine print.

My understanding is that PVD counter doesn't open until 5:00 AM on Thursday. Will this be a problem? I'm pretty sure you would be fine, they wouldn't sell a non-conforming set of connections. I think the issue would be at least an hour at the connection point that goes to Aruba, for instance if you were starting your journey at BWI and the next stop was Aruba.

@RainbowMcFuzzy wrote: Hello folks, I've made a post before asking for advice about pet travel. There's one question that's been eating at me and we're booking our flight tomorrow and I hope someone can help. I know that the "reservation" is not a guarantee to get your pet onboard. So how can I ensure that he does? We are moving halfway across the country and leaving him behind is not an option. I know that getting to the airport early is the best advantage we have, but what about the rest of our journey? Is there a chance halfway through our journey one of the planes will say "sorry he can't come on"? I'm just worried sick that we will be turned away. I'll give a caveat that I'm not an expert at pet travel - so someone else will have to chime in on the "how to get your pet boarded" question. But in regard to the second part, if you did get the pet boarded at your origination airport - I don't see how Southwest would then not allow you to board a connection with the pet, that would be too strange. Unless they actually rebook you (and pet) on a later flight or something - that doesn't sound very likely though. So I'm expecting that as long as you get off to a good start, they must be sure that you'll get to your destination with your pet.

@Passenger1C wrote: @Kelly1carlson I agree that leaving a child in that type of situation is neglectful and wrong. I don’t understand how some parents can ignore the obvious, but maybe there was a reason? As a fellow passenger, I would have felt disrespected and frustrated too (sounds like the worst flight ever), but who is to blame here? I do not agree that the crew should have gotten involved. The crew has enough on their plate, and now they are to give out parenting advice? I can just see someone filming the interaction with the parents on their phone. Next thing you know it’s all over the social media and local news that SWA does not LUV children. Do we know the reason why the parents didn’t change the diaper? Was there turbulence? Were they told to stay seated with their seatbelts on for their safety? Did they run out of diapers and not sure what to do next? I bet the experience was horrible for them too. It is unfortunate that you had to experience this situation in a confined space with recycled air, but I’m my opinion, it’s not SWA’s fault. If I would have been you, I would have walked off that flight dancing with joy since you were not living that nightmare. That's really a tough one, we have a young one now as well and one time she did managed to do her business during boarding. I went up to the front and changed her, possibly delaying the flight by a minute or two but it was going to be pretty rough for her, us, and everyone around us if we didn't try to "make a change" right then - obviously once the plane was taxiing and take-off, and then waiting for a good opportunity with the seatbelt light on...it migh be 30 minutes. If one of the FA realized the situation they might be able to suggest - "oh by the way, the changing table is in the front..." but I think they might not have realized the situation, and the parent or parents may not be frequent flyers and didn't know what to do. I'm sure it was bad all around, I'd hold back on calling it neglectful without knowing more about the situation though. Now that I'm a seasoned airborne diaper changer myself I'd have asked them if they needed a hand (watching the second one while they changed in shifts?) or suggestion to make a change though, offered a couple of spare diapers, etc.

It makes it easier for me to change things online myself without calling, among other minor benefits. The only downside would be for extreme weather that disrupts the schedule in a way that both of your flights would be affected where both legs would be covered automatically as a RT ticket. Coming from Chicago we found TPA to be easier than RSW where our ultimate destination was in Venice, but see what turns up when the schedule is released.

So, if your Rapid Rewards account is the primary, only you will be able to designate a companion (if you qualify for a Companion Pass) to fly with you. Concur. I know we'll want to try to have it renewed starting in 2020 because we have a big trip coming up then. Will the points that I am earning the rest of this year and next year count towards the renewal? I've done a bunch of searches trying to figure this out, but I'm coming up empty handed. Thanks for any info! No, not for this year, yes the points for next year. Your goal should be to earn 110,000 points during CY 2019 in order to earn your 2020 pass - points earned during the remainder of 2018 won't count for that purpose. The A-list and companion pass qualifying periods are for points posted in a calendar year. For someone that will continually have companion pass, the idea would be to earn the 110,000 points each calendar year, then your renewal will continue uninterrupted. Depending when the trip was in 2020 you could also earn the points during 2020 prior to the trip, and then have compoanion pass the remainder of 2020 and through all of 2021.

No, when she failed to board in Houston her itinerary would be canceled so there wouldn't be an opportunity to get a boarding pass and the ticket would be canceled by attempting to hop on in Dallas insated. Up to ten minutes prior to the flight departing Houston she could change the reservation to one that originates in Dallas for her (on the same flight you are taking). Obviously the price today may be higher - although no change fee she would have to pay the current price, and also check that the flight has availability.
