I just spoke with someone from Southwest. My son turned 2 in September. They said he would have to have his own seat already. The original question, doesn't really matter as the child is almost 3. They will need a round trip seat for the 2 almost 3 year old.

@arlingtonhoo You might want to contact the Customer Relation Service number at 214 792 4000. I don't know anything about renting the car along southwest airlines as a third party. But, anyway, Do you have a account with southwest airlines portal? Check and see if you have some points onlines. I know this is a complication issues we have with SWA. Hope this will helps.

It might have to do with the amount they had per drink or just who is pouring. I have also heard from flight attendants that if someone has had many drinks and asks for another one it will be watered down! They might consider this if a passenger was noticeably intoxicated already. Otherwise the drinks all come in single serving containers so there wouldn't be much jurisdiction for the strength of the pour. They shouldn't be doing this if they take payment for the beverage though, the better option would be not to serve it rather than only pour a portion of the drink. Perhaps better to water drown a drink for someone who may be drunk than potentially get into an altercation with an angry drunk If there was an unpublished policy to do this, and then "forget" to take their drink coupon I'd be behind it. Actually the drink coupons could come with fine print that Southwest is allowed to provide any mixed drink in a manner necessary for the conditions...but don't take someone's credit card if you weren't going to deliver the goods. Or make up an excuse of "sorry we had turbulence" or "we ran out of that" and then forgot to come back. But I don't expect that the FA do this either - my guess is that people have an issue of perception of the strength, but the actual strength is standard. David, I didn't mean to imply this is happening. I don't. The liquor comes in those one serving mini bottles. One per drink. I'm sure you've heard stories about pax being denied another drink, and then becoming belligerent when denied.

Agreed, @TheMiddleSeat. It is a complete gamble based on so many conditions. I have had connections with the SAME airline that I was happy for an almost 3 hr layover, but I have also connect from another airlines over to SW (different terminal), and I could have literally made it in 45 mins or less. Be safe and go the 3hr route!

@elijahbrantley I hope they bring back their direct flights to and from SNA and SFO eventually :(. Only time will tell, but Oakland is also a great airport. Very convenient and plenty of flights in and out M-F. Thank you again!

I agree with @PDFelter however if they are unable to help over the phone then I would watch the flight to see if it has a seat open up. if a seat doesn't open before your departure day then I would show up a little earlier on departure day to the airport and they should be able to help at the full service ticket counter since you have up until an hour before the flight to add the companion. Hope it works out easily! Blake

Unfortunately, all planes do not have wifi anymore. That plateau was reached (and much touted) some time ago. Then a 2nd internet service provider was brought in, but then that basically fell apart, leaving some planes now without wifi at all, and some with the hardware installed but unable to actually use it (until it's replaced with new hardware from the old provider). It's kind of a mess, really. 😞 More info: Exclusive: Southwest Airlines and Panasonic Avionics part ways

With the exception of exit row and bulkhead leg room, virtually all seats on a SW jet are the same. You can find measurements here. So Business Select does not give you a larger seat. For info about how SW fares differ, click here. The biggest benefits of Business Select fares (IMO) include being able to board first (after medical pre-boards), getting a drink coupon, and getting more Rapid Rewards points for the flight. These fares are also fully refundable. It sounds like you are relatively new to flying Southwest. You can learn all about the boarding process here. It should also be noted that, for most, flying SW is fun! They have phenominal employees who love to take care of their customers. See you in the skies soon!

I have found that sometimes cell phone settings don't play well with automated phone systems, especially if you are using wifi calling for "VoLTE" or Voice Over LTE that some carriers offer. I am not saying that there is no problem with the phone system; it just might be worth giving it a shot with another phone. Good luck! Land lines, too. Just yesterday I used a land line to call a company. Got the standard "hit 1 for english." I did, and the recording repeated. Hit 1 a second time, and the same thing happened. Hit 1 a third time, and the system disconnected me. Called back with the same phone, and the situation repeated. Called back from a different phone, and hitting 1 worked. Thats why I like the systems that say "press or say 1 for English" (or other option) noting more annoying than repeating an action to get no where

I have been flying with Southwest since its first year. First flight was from Love Field to San Antonio and back to visit a customer. Walking out the ramp I was handed a fifth of Wild Turkey by none other that Herb himself. Being a Scotch drinker I unfortunately gave it away. A few years later I was on a flight where he was helping the crew clean up the plane. An amazing man who created an amazing aairline. I wish him a great, beautifu and Blessed journey.

I'm guessing you could cancel and reinstate the subscription through the link especially if you got hulu live and you don't have it now but a different account is probably the safe way to go! Additionally the offer states that if you use Safari as a browser you will not be credited the points due to tracking issues so remember that tip if you do it!

I haven't usually purchased these very far in advance so I hadn't made a study of it myself. I'm not sure I understand your comment -- so, just in case it's still unclear: Purchase date has nothing to do with BS boarding position, only check-in time does. it's clear - I should have been more specific that many of my BS fares were same-day purchases, so less than 24 hours. On the ones I did purchase further in advance I don't recall what my position was, or if I tried to check in right at T-24 or not.

@Jtkosik1 wrote: Forced to use "Family Travel" as the closest board to my topic, I start by apologizing for its possible misleading ramifications. I live in Atlanta and will be traveling a lot to Ft. Worth. Noting that DFW and TexTrain will begin offering $2.50 one way tickets for travel directly from that airport's Terminal B to downtown Ft. Worth starting next week, I have been searching for the best way to get from Love to F.W., as I much prefer flying Southwest to other airlines. The best I have been able to cobble together from various sites including DART, is that one has to take a bus (#524 I think) from Love to the Inwood/Love train station, board a train to Victory Station and then transfer again to a second train (TRE) heading to Ft. Worth, cost $12.00. That's challenging, time consuming and expensive. Does anybody know a better way? Thank you! JK Hello. There would be two ways to get from Love Field to Ft. Worth via public transit. 1) The way you already described. The 524 bus to the Inwood/Love light rail statrion south to (actually I think it's to Union Station) where you'd catch a commuter rail TRE train west to Ft Worth. The 524 runs every 15 minutes. I think you could catch either the green or orange lines south. They run pretty frequently. TRE runs about every half hour on weekdays and about every hour on Saturdays.. TRE does not run on Sundays and holidays. I suspect this is the easiest way to do it. 2) The 524 bus to Inwood Station where you would catch an Orange Line light rail to DFW where you could pick up the Tex Train you referred to. I've heard about TexTrain, but haven't paid much attention as I'm on the Dallas side of things. Don't take the green line by mistake. You would pay 2.50 for the ride to DFW The Orange line comes in to Terminal A. Not sure how you get from A to B. If you've cleared security you just jump on the inter terminal train. Not sure what you do if you have not cleared security. edit add 3) Actually there's a third way. The 524 to Inwood station. The orange line to DFW. Catch a remote south bus to Centerport DFW Station where you would catch the TRE to Ft. Worth. Cost of TRE at DFW to Ft. Worth is $2.50. Sounds like too much work for me.

I'm clear if you are still trying to get to PVR or not - I'd keep checking and hopefully if you can get to HOU have your HOU-PVR legs re-instated, but I'm also sure there are limited availability as there may only be a flight or two per day to PVR. If you try another airline let them know the story, maybe they can offer a last minute deal to entice you.

Wow super helpful! Yeah ah I definitely use this perk a lot because my schedule is so variable or if my the last flight of out LGA is delayed as it often the case and I can take an earlier one that lands at the time I was supposed to. I have been stranded in Las Vegas because I didn’t check the connecting flight so definitely recommend that!

Depending on how it folds, you might be able tp bring it on as a carry on - as long as it's no bigger than 24x16x10. If you have to check it, be sure it's packaged in such a way that it does not sustain damage in the process

remember that Southwest allocates EBCI boarding position by the date/time EBCI was purchased -- from oldest to newest. So at some point it might make more sense to just try to check in exactly 24 hours before flight time, and if you get an undesireable boarding position, then, as chgoflyer suggested, try to upgrade into a1-a15 at the gate.
