I am AList, spend a lot of money on this card to get this status and stand there in disbelief as most of the time 10-15 people pre-board and most have no trouble boarding, no wheelchairs etc. It is ridiculous the amount of people who claim pre- board status. Physically disabilities aside it is much more prevalent in this airline than others. Today out of St. Louis people with water bottles and workout clothes are pre- boarding. And it is a sham in most cases, all comments about anxiety, dogs, etc. aside.
Apparently you do not understand that Southwest is merely complying with federal law. By law:
!) Southwest CANNOT ask anyone why he/she needs to pre board
2) Southwest MUST allow anyone who claims a need to pre board to do so.
Now I don't pre board, but I do have sciatica. By my disability, I would be allowed to pre board.
I don't need a wheel chair. Sometimes my condition causes me a whole lot of problems. Other times it does not. Lots of people with various disabilities do not need a wheel chair.
If you don't like the law, contact your members of congress and tell them you want to see it changed. Until that happens Southwest IS REQUIRED to follow federal law

My Friday 4/1 flight was cancelled, also. I have to apply for the refund? How about the refund should be automatic and immediate. Also, instead of just telling customers they are on their own to book another existing flight - all of which were full or cancelled on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - how about if Southwest schedules additional flights to accommodate the passengers who are now stuck? It would go very far to keeping your customers satisfied if we received a follow up text or email that says "sorry we cancelled your flight, but we are going to send extra planes on these dates to try and get you to your destination".
The way it is now, I feel like SWA effectively said; "your flight is cancelled you're own your own".
I've been a happy SWA traveller for decades, but this was a very bad experience.
By the way, I got home on Spirit Airlines 24 hours later and I just may consider them before SWA for my next flights.

You could be on a black list,or you could be in a country that cannot get to the SW web site. The web site is not available to every one in the world in every country in the world.
Your solutions:
1) Use a VPN .or.
2) Click on "contact us " below to get to Twitter or Facebook .or.
3) Try the SW app chat function.

My only word of caution is be careful cancelling a flight right now just to pay a different way, because flight prices have generally gone up and you might end up paying more than your original flight price.

FYI: Anytime (and Business select) prices for the same day/flight fluctuate much less than Wanna Get Away -- if at all.
Hmmmm...the summer international flights have increased by at least $60 since February for BS, AT, and WGA.
They can be changed, but they don't fluctuate on a daily basis. I'm sure there has been a bump in the recent time period from the winter.

Try reaching out to customer service to see if they can assist with this. Only the funds set to expire on April 1 will, not any combined (and later expiring) funds.
This is 100% incorrect. It might be a good idea to edit your post so that misinformation isn't spread.
As noted by others, when you co-mingle funds the earliest expiration date applies to all funds on the reservation. This may change someday, but this is how Southwest has always done it to-date.

If you are still within the window to do so, you could protest the charge to your credit card company.
You may want to protest via e-mail. You might receive a voucher good for future travel in return. To proceed click on "contact us" below to continue.

If there was a remaining balance, then that should have been an indicator that the card total wasn't somehow transferred to your account (because that's not how it works on Southwest).
Southwest's gift card system is pretty rudimentary. In general, I do not recommend using Southwest gift cards.

I have had issues the last 3 times I have tried to buy A1-A15 after clearing A-List standby at the counter.
Twice, the agent was patient and helpful, but had to call into the help desk. However, it took anywhere from 5-15 minutes, thankfully there was no line. The other time the agent refused to try and said I was not eligible due to being a standby (even though I had cleared).

I'm still clueless as to why people buy business select seats. For the money, you could likely get a first class seat on another airline. I like Southwest, and I realize that "all seats on Southwest are first class", but still...

My gosh, wear a mask if you want to wear a mask and dont wear one if you dont! Its a personal choice. And if you choose to wear a mask for the love of God wear an N95 that hasnt been used before and that properly fits your face; otherwise its theater. We all know this.

SW is not the same airline it was before the COVID exposure restrictions destroyed the airline industry. The goal was to eliminate all the non-mainstream companies. SW is on a hit-list and they are self-destructing. I am facing similar issues. This is a sinking ship.

Well, to be fair, no airline is exactly the same as it was, but Southwest still remains at the top of the list in my book.
Your posts about your flight and being charged to change it doesn't make sense. If Southwest makes a schedule change (i.e. your 8AM flight now departs at 8:30AM), Southwest sends you an e-mail that your flight has changed and if you are not happy with the change you can change it at no cost, typically within 72 hours of receiving the e-mail, although it may be a little longer now. If you waited longer than that to change your flight, you are out of luck and have to pay the difference if the fare increased. And by the way, we are having a gas crisis at the moment ... fares are going to be higher to compensate. It is that way across the board - this is not a "Southwest" problem.

I used to pay for Early Bird off and on but over the years I've decided to just save the money and take my chances with checking in 24 hours ahead. I've found that even if I am in a later boarding position (B or even C group) I can still get a window or aisle seat in almost every case.
Now that I'm A List this year though, I don't have to worry about it!

Sometimes people just need to vent. I think this chat area is great but hearing what southwest would say to the customer may be true, but doesn’t really offer what they came here for many times. I had a similar situation that bumped me into the next day, causing to miss a paid day of Airbnb, car, etc.
This was about 18 months ago and Covid was high, but after calling, I was offered substantial vouchers for all parties. I understand. I had about 9 flights last year with southwest and every flight changed somewhat. They have a business to run, get it. But they also need to keep their customers happy. Hope your vacation was great!

So, what you're telling the world and Southwest, is that you don't trust the vaccine you've clearly already taken yourself? Because if you did, you wouldn't need to worry about anyone else affecting you. If this is the case, what was the point in getting it to begin with?
Anybody can be a stockholder, your status isn't above anybody else's. Maybe you should spend less time thinking of yourself and more time thinking about others and their decisions for their own bodies and lives. I think any airline that enforces vaccinations to simply fly will be out of business before the plandemic narrative collapses.
YOU are the problem and same goes for others who share your conceited mentality. Good day.

The ongoing relatively low load factors allow Southwest to offer a perk which doesn't actually cost them much, while receiving ancillary income from Chase.

So, following up on this, I went to the counter, prior to boarding, to upgrade to the 'A' group. Once that was done, I told the lady at the counter about the Early Bird situation. More specifically, if that charge could be refunded or applied to the return flight.
She said, that it should be applied to the return flight automatically. She was able to confirm in the system. Sure enough, I had a low 'A' boarding assignment on the way back.
At the time I paid for it, there was no error message, just a normal confirmation message and the reservation immediately showed an Early Bird applied. I still have the confirmation email.
