As I said in my "share this" tweet a few moments ago, you can't plan shots like this :-)
Kudos to the PAX that was luck enough to take this picture.

I just figured out how to make my fortune...by getting the Snap-on franchise for the DAL area ;-)

This does not surprise me much, and I mean that in a good way....please allow me to explain.
Back during my taxi/shuttle/limo days in RNO, the cargo and ticket counters were one of many routine stops for me in the area, especially after developing the reputation of "If you want it delivered in good order, call Paul." On one particularly harried day during "convention season", I was in the process of making my sixth (no, not a typo) delivery/pickup at the airport, and prior to noon. (I'd recently switched to days) On this day, my sixth stop happened to be at SWA, where one of the nicest clerks I ever met assisted me in filling-out the waybill as I was drawing a mental blank. After handing me the receipt, he mentioned that there was a fresh pot of coffee on, and would not let me leave until I'd had two cups. Time and the "ravages" of middle age do not permit me to remember his name, but I do remember the kindness shown. Thank you, whoever you are...it's employees like you that allow me to call SWA family.

@Paul T...I can relate to what you went through. Back during my Taxicab days in RNO, some people just couldn't understand that drivers coming to and from work had priority over customers in snowy and icy WX until we'd ask them the question "If you're getting into a cab anywhere in conditions like this, wouldn't you rather have a rested driver?"
As for your work computer (or any computer for that matter) I'd suggest you ask your IT department about the possibility of an "Uninterruptible Power Supply" (aka UPS) for each workstation, especially since power failures can wreak havoc on PC hardware. As a "selling point" you'd do well to mention that its arguably most important feature is the ability to properly shut-down a computer during a power failure :-)

This is one of the reasons no SWA employee will ever be charged to park on my lot. (Downtown CRP Saturday nights, across from the B Of A driveup on Mesquite Street)

Assuming you take requests Brian, how about an article/ad on the old name for SW's peanuts, "Lovebites" if memory serves.

If I found out tomorrow that I could call an airline "home" the choice for me would be clear, and without reservation......Southwest.

This story caught my attention for two reasons, I've flown out of OAK a few times over the years, mainly because it's usually less of a mess than SFO. But, it's for the second reason that's arguably more important. For reasons that seem foggy to me now, Braniff has always held a place in my heart. Although I'd be hard-pressed to remember when or where, I've had the pleasure to fly on that ex-Braniff 727 that SWA owned for a bit. I only remember it because it struck me as unusual that I was on an SWA flight in a 727....I miss that near ear-splitting roar of the JT8D at takeoff, which sadly I can only experience now thanks to YouTube.
By all means, please keep the flashbacks coming :-)

Although none of these flights are of (direct) benefit to me, I'm nonetheless still grateful to Southwest for making it possible for me to be able out of my hometown on something bigger than a puddle jumper :-)

Obviously, that is the new 737-CSH (Casa Small House) so my only questions are, when did this plane get its certificate of airworthiness, and what variant of the CFM56 is it?
All kidding aside, a hearty thanks to the mechanics for their labor & time, and to AMFA for their financial support.

This is obviously a touchy subject with some people. It seems to me that the prudent thing to do is to compromise by accepting coupons that have no expiration date. Eventually they will be far and few between, if not gone completely. In the current age of (cut-throat) competition, Southwest would do well to give this one a serious rethink, especially since Monster is no longer an option for people who don't drink alcohol.

Three things came to mind after watching this video and reading the first two comments;
1. "Understated Class" is definitely an understatement, no pun intended.
2. The passengers of Southwest are just as "crazy" as the employees.
3. The LUV and spirit of Southwest's employees is contagious.
Incidentally, if you're not looking too hard, at 2:48, the gentleman handing over a rose looks a little bit like actor Keith David 🙂
