Anyone having issues booking hotels with the SW Card? It's not processing for some reason and looks to be the site and not the card itself. Curious but this is annoying.

Gave them a call and its an issue that they are aware of. The problem is I paid for the stay in 2017 and system thinks the points should be applied to that yr. Problem is you get the points awarded when the stay is completed which happenend as scheduled in 2018. It's going to be fixed but will need to wait and see.

I have something that seems straight forward to me but didn't go the way I thought it would. Anyway, I reserved a hotel in November of 2017 via Southwest portal for a stay in February 2018. I have sense completed the stay and the points were awarded to me fairly fast. The problem is they didn't count towards my 2018 companion pass. Not sure why since they were awarded in 2018 not 2017 when I paid for the hotel. Apparently I need to call customer relations :(. Thoughts, does this sounds correct?

I don’t think the rewards number is needed if I remember correctly. Also, I used PayPal for the financial transaction. My card never left my wallet and it was a few clicks in the browser and the app to get it authorized.

I was afraid of that, well off to plan B. The posting seems pretty fast with the card for my initial points anyway. Might prepay tuition or something to get closer. A couple of unplanned trip will be in order as well as using the card instead of AMEX for the next couple of month. Thanks.

Hello, Just wondering because I can't find it and calling didn't confirm the question but will a cash advance get you points toward a companion pass? I understand now that I can't just buy points to close the gap so looking for other options. Have a couple of others I'm considering but this would work well. Noting that there is a fee for the advance as well. Thanks!
