If Southwest changes your flight is there a time frame in which you can make the free change or request a refund? For instance, does it have to be done with in XX number of days after the change or before the flight?

We have a trip planned in October for several people. By reading the policies we would need to decide by September 7 in order to have travel funds until September 2022. I have a couple of follow up questions: 1. Is there any chance that the September 7 date would be extended further? 2. If we cancel after September 7 the funds are good for a year from the purchase date, correct? If the ticket had been changed either because of a price change or the flight changed, do they use that date or the original purchase date? Thanks for any insight. We really don't want to have to make a decision by September 7 if we don't have to. We aren't necessarily concerned with flying as much as having as much as normal vacation experience.

Thank you for your response, however, I'm still somewhat confused as to what I should be seeing. On the app, I can only see info for me and my children with a button to "add companion", I can see the companion info when I log in to a website.

I have a flight booked with a companion and the online account shows the companion information, however, when I go to the Mobile app it does not. Is this a problem? Should it be showing?

I have both a Southwest Business card and a Plus card. Am working towards a companion pass. In the previous 2 months, points have been in my Rapid Rewards account within a day or at the most 2 days after the closing date of the Chase statement. My final points I need for my companion pass are on my statement that closed on April 5, but no points in my RR account as of today. I know they say it can take 30 days, but I just don't understand how the other months it's been applied quickly. Trying to plan a vacation and the whole thing hinges on when I can get the flights I want, for the price I can accept, and this is stressful playing the waiting game.

Ok, so I booked 3 one-way for myself and kids and a single one-way for my spouse. The spouse took the points from my account but does not show flight information. Will she have to have her own log-in to see that ticket and be able to manage that ticket when it comes to using the CP?

I am working towards a companion pass and should have it the beginning of April. Four of us plan on booking a trip and I'd like to start securing the booking. I have enough points now to book all 4 of us, but wondering if it's better to just book 3 for now and hope that the extra spot is available when we get ht CP or do I book 4 and cancel one and apply the companion pass when that time comes? Just wondered what would be the better way of doing it? Also, I've read that it's better to book one way tickets in the event we want to change a time/date. Any advise as to that?
