Why would you not fly for a year? Sounds like a personal decision unrelated to Covid. So you won't find much sympathy here.

I have been flying SW for over 20 years,,,,and have brought more than a few new customers into the SW Family. Moved to Knoxville and was shocked and disappointed to find no service. To say the area is growing is an understatement. NY/CA/ ILL/ to name a few states are showing up in droves. Tell me SW what can we do as customers to push our local airport to accommodate your service. I would be heart broken to lose my ability to fly with you….In fact I am going to Hawaii soon and had to book my flight on a different airline and it was painful. Help us to help you make this a no brainer decision! Mr Teight

Too bad we will not hear the employee's side of the story.
There are at lest 2 sides to every story.
If only the media believed in listening to both sides of the story. Whenever an incident on-board a flight makes the news, the media defames the passenger by referring to him or her as "unruly" and assumes that the flight attendants were in the right.
I'm all for hearing both sides of the story, but always giving the flight attendants the benefit of the doubt is dishonest.

Sorry to hear of your problem, but you are dealing with a federal regulation. Southwest has no control in the matter. If you want to complain, You should contact your elected federal reps

Its time for us as consumers in this very competitive market to boycott Southwest and start using other airlines. Paying for bags stinks, but being stranded due to cancelled flights is worse. In the last month, either myself or someone in my family have had flights cancelled with 24 hours remaining 6 of the last 7 flights. This airline which was the best airline 6 months ago is pathetic at best. They have cost me thousands in rebooking fees. I will be starting a petition to remove Allan Kasher, as he has done nothing to rectify this situation. Covid is an excuse for his inept leadership and pathetic customer support.

Anyone know if the "travel day only" coupons will be given the same end of year expiration when and if SWA opens back up beer/wine service? Asking as a responsible and respectful traveler.

I never heard back from them. That's the first time it's ever happened as they are normally so responsive. I hope this doesn't become the norm! --Jessica

I understand your frustration, but don’t let your comment (made in anger) take away from the issue that occurred. The vet deserves respect and the complaint will not go anywhere if you talk about people like that.

@LainieMorales posts from passengers who think they have the right to board first make me crazy. Most of those who are pre~boarding early would give anything to not be in this position. Please remember to focus on your self, utilize pre~boarding, and enjoy every moment with your loved ones. Life is way too short. Who cares what other passengers are saying.

No need for a larger person to buy an extra seat. Southwest will provide and extra seat for free under the "customer of size" policy. It is quite easy.

Landing in Tampa, FA makes announcement that when we get to the get everyone MUST stay in their seats until the row in front has deplaned to maintain "social distancing" Can we make flying anymore fun? Soooooo as soon as the bell rings, of course people are getting up, gathering their things etc. She gets on again and admonishes everyone but the front row to get back in their seats...now the front row are taking their sweet time rearranging their carryons etc as is their right but now everyone else is sitting their watching...keep in mind we've been jammed into a full plane and now lets extend the deplaning process. If this is SWA policy, why was it not on the way up? And if it IS SWA policy, well, lets call it social distancing theater...cause if they really cared about social distancing, then maybe not fill the plane. Don't get me wrong, I was glad to see the plane full but was ridiculous Nowadays airlines encourage passengers to deplane one row at a time to minimize the amount of crowding in the aisle. In a 36 second video, a passenger can be seen staying seated when it’s her turn to deplane.

@reneepasley Yes, I understand learning styles very well. In fact, I teach a section on it in my college skills course. Learning styles refer to a range of competing and contested theories that aim to account for differences in individuals' learning. Many theories share the proposition that humans can be classified according to their 'style' of learning, but differ in how the proposed styles should be defined, categorized and assessed.

@Passenger1C UH, when your boarding pass is scanned your boarding number comes up on the big screen in big letter/numbers. Can they catch everyone, NO, but if they show that they are at least asking one or two passengers to, "Please wait, you're a bit early. The others will hear and it might help to deter it. Yes, they are busy, but trust me, if it was me, I would find a way. Hey, even just announcing, "I know we are all eager to get on the plane, but we have a numeric order, please adhere to that order so I don't have to embarrass you by pulling you out of line to wait your turn. You never know. But for it to be ramped that nobody does anything is rather furstrating.

My Bundle reply: Let's start with the obvious, laptops, headphones, IPads, and/or the majority of "electrical items that are reasonably small and light enough to go on the seated plane area with you. I personally thought this was a no brainer just on the damage element alone. Not just SWA, but any airlines with how I sit in the plane by the window and watch the bag handlers throw without any regard for contents the bags they are putting on and getting off a plane. I travel with both a laptop and an IPAD in my carry-on bag, done! No damage or theft of them in over 10 years of owning both of them. Now to address that, SWA, is in total possession of them, that I can't answer for sure, but I think if I would do the research I could find that every airline in the WORLD has had items stolen from passengers baggage, (thus how I started out this thread) If your irritation is with the response you got, then just state that and address it to the customer complaint process that is also mentioned. I personally would love to see you contact your local TV station and report back to us how well that went. I'm not saying you won't get any traction, I just know if I was a newscast person I would scratch my head thinking, so what is it you want to accomplish contacting me. If this was a news story, I'd be covering it every day from every airline. YES, theft happens, in all industries, not just the airline industry. I appreciate that you spent your hard-earned money, but I doubt SWA just blows this off, EVEN THOUGH, as also been stated, you hand their responsibility off when you check that bag. Bless you, and I hope you have a better holiday in the upcoming future.
