Hi all;
I purchased a Business Select fare and expected my Companion to receive a consecutive boarding assignment. I have searched through the online terms and conditions and can't find text indicating this scenario. I also looked through other discussions and see others have stated that the purchase of a Business Select fare does not receive the consecutive assignment for the companion but I'd just like to see where the text is located. Anyone have a correct link?
Appreciate it.

Hi all;
My companion generally receives a boarding position correlated to mine but if I purchase an upgrade must I also purchase an upgrade for them as well? In the past I have but wondering if the system would also upgrade the companion without having to purchase the second one.
Thanks so much

Thanks for the response. I got antsy and called customer service. Painless and personable experience. Thank goodness.

Thanks for the quick response. For the Companion I am only allowed to cancel his whole itinerary versus just the return. Then I am unsure how to proceed for my intinerary. Since different city is the procedure to cancel the return leg and rebook that portion? Sorry for all the questions.

Hi all;
I have a round trip booked and would like to modify the return leg to a different date and city. I also have my husband as a companion. Can this be accomplished online or should I attempt to call customer service for best results?

Darn - should have searched this group before attempting to use split travel funds. The tip to book two one-way trips will help in the future. I have several 'split' confirmation numbers and was grumbling when I still had to use a credit card payment due to the 3 limitation.
Do you know if three splits can be used for a whole payment?

No it was not. The message and rebooking process is now being touted as being able to rebook with no additional fare. Well that's great except when the rebooked fare is much less.

I experienced the same mis-application (IMHO) of refunds to an early travel fund. We booked flights earlier this year using an expiring travel fund AND additional funds. When I rebooked for a later date yesterday the difference in fare was applied to the original travel fund voucher expiration date versus being applied to travel funds with this year's expiration date. So, instead of receiving travel funds with a 2021 expiration date we now have the March 2020 expiration date. Geez a software change is certainly needed for this.

Hi all; I find this community to be a wealth of information so thank you to all that help the rest of us. It seems the rebooking process and issuance of travel funds is different today than yesterday. Yesterday I was able to rebook flights to different dates and as a result saving money from original purchase price. I received travel funds. Today, I attempted to modify a booking for next week and was NOT presented with an option to save money - only to select available flights thus NOT receiving travel funds for the difference in price. So, there appears to be changes afoot. I was also presented with an agreement selection that I had to select the same departure and arrival airports (which of course I intended to). So, it appears that due to the much lower rates being offered now SWA is losing even more money and changing their policies to be more restrictive. I weighed the pros and cons and ended up cancelling the original (losing Early bird money) and rebooking. Yes, now I have even more travel funds to somehow use but so be it.

My husband and I have enjoyed having the Companion Pass status the last couple of years and am on track to earn it again this year. Question: We have accumulated a pot of points and am wondering if we can Use points to purchase a flight and also acquire the companion flight as well. We have only ever purchased flights and then designated the companion. Thanks in advance.
